SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — Virginia State Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a fatal crash early Friday on Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County that claimed the life of a 26-year-old driver.
A 26-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday on Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County, and Virginia State Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The crash occurred at about 4:08 a.m. Friday, on the northbound side of Interstate 95 near the 117-mile marker, according to Virginia State Police.

The preliminary investigation indicates a dark-colored Honda Civic was traveling northbound at a possible high rate of speed when it ran off the roadway and overturned in the median.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, died from injuries sustained in the crash. State police did not immediately release his identity.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, saw the Honda Civic before the crash, or observed the driver's behavior prior to the incident to contact Virginia State Police Division 2 Dispatch at 804-750-8778 or email questions@vsp.virginia.gov.
The crash remains under investigation.
