You don't have to spend tons of money to look fabulous, darling! With stores already stocking the shelves with Christmas decor, who doesn't want to cut expenses as we gear up for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Here are a few, simple ideas to help you be the most fabulous you, while saving money in the process.
At Home Gel Manicure Kits: These fabulous little kits contain everything you need to leave your nails looking like you just had a salon manicure. I tried the Sally Hansen version, and was very pleased with the results. A couple swipes with a cleaner over each nail, a coat of base, two coats of color, a coat of top (with a 30 sec dry under the UV lamp (included) between each coat), and then a wipe with the same cleaner...and you are literally painted and dried! My at-home mani lasted more than 1 week without a chip! Totally recommend this product!
Shop Second-Hand: I recently had the opportunity to style clients at the new store, Clothes Mentor, in Central Park for their Girls Night Out event! I was very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of their products. Nothing in their inventory is more than two years old and some items are brand new! Although I was there to help others, I scored my own goodies---a floor length, flowy maxi dress from The Loft (brand new/with tags...$20!), a Chico's animal print blazer (only $18) and two rings (brand new, each $3). And, don't forget to sell back your gently used items first, which gives you money to start your shopping! It's a win-win!
Shop Clearance: Take a minute to check out the clearance racks in every single store you enter. I swear it becomes addictive. Many times, coupons and store promotions work right on top of the already marked-down clearance items. Some of my favorite items in my own wardrobe have been plucked from a clearance rack. Some of my favorite clearance racks to shop are found in Cache, Express, Marshall's and Target!
