HomeGoods Helping Families Fight Cancer

All area HomeGoods stores are participating in the campaign that benefits the Jimmy Fund.

Fredericksburg HomeGoods stores are participating in the "Help Families Fight Cancer" campaign that benefits the Jimmy Fund from now until July 1.

The HomeGoods store in Fredericksburg is in front of the Spotsylvania Towne Centre at 3102 Plank Rd. next to craft store. 

The Jimmy Fund supports pediatric and adult cancer care and research.

The home fashions retail customers can make a $1, $5, or $10 contribution at the register to “Help Families Fight Cancer” with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the campaign and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. New this year, customers can also buy a reusable shopping bag featuring artwork by a Jimmy Fund Clinic pediatric patient for 99 cents. HomeGoods will contribute 50 cents from each purchased bag to the Jimmy Fund.        

“For more than 10 years, HomeGoods and its dedicated customers have raised more than $3 million for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. We are so grateful for their continued support in our fight against cancer and helping families facing this disease,” said Suzanne Fountain, director of the Jimmy Fund.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School and is among the leading cancer research and care centers in the United States.  The Jimmy Fund solely supports the institute by raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.
