
What is the universal worry of every bride on her wedding day; the weather of course. Although I have written a couple of blog articles about weddings and rain this summer due to the rainier than normal summer. My daughter and I thought this past Saturday would be different.
My daughter, Lindsey was married Saturday at the Old Silk Mill in downtown Fredericksburg. We had monitored the weather starting two weeks out day by day and the constant threat of rain we had earlier in the summer had left. Nope, nada, no rain in sight. Three days before you’d think the weather man could get it right. Again, cloudy but no rain in sight. Late Friday there appears a 30% chance of rain between 1-3. We’re now on the hour watch instead of day. I ask you, when does it ever rain with a 30% chance in Fredericksburg? Then it goes to 10% after 4.
