James Monroe Student Awarded Scholarship

Paris Marie Stewart, a 2013 graduate of James Monroe High School, has been awarded this year's Success Scholarship by the Virginia Credit Union.

The $1,000 scholarship is given on the basis of academic achievement, community service and extracurricular activities, an essay, and the hours a student devotes to work to help with the cost of his or her education.

Virginia Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides affordable services and financial education to help people grow financially. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the City of Fredericksburg is eligible to join the credit union.
