Light Pole Knocked Down in Latest Downtown Vandalism
An officer patrolling the area found all the glass had been broken out, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

An officer patrolling the downtown area early Friday found a light pole knocked to the ground, according to Fredericksburg City Police.
The incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Caroline St.
The officer found the light pole on the ground with all the glass broken out. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

LARCENY:
100 block Wilderness Ln, 4/1 – 4/2 7:00 a.m. The property owner reported that a number of tools were stolen from a work site. The tools were later discovered under some bushes in the Wellington Woods Apartment complex. The investigation is ongoing.
James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 4/1 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. A student reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone from his backpack. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Goodwill Store, 2336 Plank Rd, 4/1 12:00 p.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Woodland Rd, 3/31 – 4/2 8:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person rummaged through both of her vehicles and stole a quantity of loose change from one of them. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
Virginia Outdoor Center, 3219 Fall Hill Ave, 3/27 -3/30 3:00 p.m. The owner reported that an unknown person broke three windows out of a vehicle owned by the business. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
7-Eleven, 3333 Fall Hill Ave, 4/2 9:40 p.m. The clerk reported that two male subjects were fist fighting outside the store when one of the subjects was thrown into the glass window of the business, causing it to break. One of the two suspects has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
