One thing I found out from week number two in the high school football season is that North Stafford and James Monroe are both really good football teams.
When those two squared off Friday night, I might have seen the best skill position players on both teams in a long time!

Top performers this week include a couple of senior’s from Riverbend, quarterback Eric Byrd who tossed 3 touchdown passes and his top running back, Zac Simms, who rushed for almost 200 yards (198) and scored a pair of touchdowns.
North Stafford freshman quarterback Pat Ayala was also sharp, connecting on 18 of his 20 pass attempts for 190 yards and a score. He also ran for a score.
