Old Dominion Humane Society pet of the week~ Barbie

Barbie is a mixed lab puppy born August 10, 2013. At a week old, she was dumped without a mother and then rescued by Old Dominion Humane Society. Barbie was bottle fed and given the appropriate attention to ensures he had a chance at life, just like any other pup.
Barbie is the smallest of the ODHS littermates and is about half the size of Ken. Although petite, she is a feisty girl. Barbie reigns over her brothers as alpha and does not realize her size may give her a disadvantage to a fair fight. Her fearlessness is carried over into most daily activities; Barbie always goes first when her brothers are unsure and she will leap out of your arms to fetch her favorite toys before her brothers can get to them. Barbie enjoys cuddle time, but is the most independent of the group. Whereas her brothers like to play together, she likes to play alone. She is has a vast world to explore and does not like to be held back by a cuddling embrace for more than a few minutes. Barbie enjoys playing in the water and during bath time uses her paws to make a big SPLASH while barking like a mad-puppy with excitement. If you are looking for a fearless, feisty, and independent female then Barbie is the puppy for you! She will make a great life companion for one lucky family.
