Stafford County In State of Emergency From Storm
More than 50,000 people are still without power in Stafford County.

Stafford County Administrator Anthony Romanello has declared a local state of emergency this morning because of the derecho that passed through the area Friday night.

More than 50,000 people in Stafford are without power. Power companies are saying that power could be out for a number of days, according to the Stafford County Alert system.
County officials will open a cooling shelter as soon as an appropriate location is determined.
