Have friends and family in town for the fourth? Or maybe you’re just looking for a fun, local way to spend your Saturday? Join us at the Fredericksburg City Farmers Market this Saturday, July 6, 2013! First Saturday is upon us once again and this month the celebration revolves around the quintessential fruit of summer, watermelon!
This month’s activities will include music by Tony Scott, wine tastings by Castle Gruen Winery, watermelon sampling, Art in the Park, and many new specialty vendors!
We will also be drawing the name of the first winner of our $10 Challenge! The drawing will be held at noon at the Market Manager Tent. Winner need not be present to win. Anyone who turns a completed card in before the noon drawing will be eligible to win this month’s prize!

Popular Virginia Grown shopping bags are still available at the Manager Tent as well. The cost is $2.
The Market is open 7am-2pm, activities in the park run 9am-1pm.
