HARRISONBURG, VA – Arts Council of the Valley (ACV) delightedly announces its March First Fridays of the Valley lineup, featuring a variety of arts experiences at 24 venues throughout the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County on March 6! The following First Fridays of the Valley venues plan to offer arts experiences Friday, Mar 6. Unless otherwise noted, events are scheduled 5-7 pm.

- The Arts at 131 W Grace (131 W Grace St) features Various works from the Madison Art Collection. Enjoy exhibitions - with works in a variety of media - from the newly-relocated Madison Art Collection when you visit during special First Friday extended hours. - Court Square Theater (41-F Court Square) features an evening of fun with Rocktown Improv, a collective of local actors and improv artists creating unscripted scenes through games and audience suggestions. Rocktown Improv performances are typically recommended for ages 13 and up. The show begins at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7 pm); a $10 donation at the door is appreciated. - Explore More Discovery Museum (150 S Main St) celebrates the opening of this year’s Artists and Apprentices exhibition! - Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative (2 N Main St) features Open dance rehearsal and Improv Night from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. From 5:30 to 6:30 pm, visitors are welcome to take a look behind the scenes and observe an open dance rehearsal, learning about all that goes into building a dance performance. From 6:30 to 7:30pm, Improv Night offers the chance to join at least two Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative dancers in organic movement set to a curated selection of music.
