3 Herndon Mayoral Candidates To Square Off In Chamber-Sponsored Debate

HERNDON, VA — Not only is Labor Day considered the unofficial end of summer, it's also the start of the 2022 election season.
Town of Herndon voters will be heading to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 8 to vote for mayor and Town Council.
Incumbent Mayor Sheila Olem is running for reelection and is challenged by Sean Regan and Jasbinder Singh, who are both current members of the Herndon Town Council.

Incumbents Cesar A. Del Aguila, Naila Alam, Pradip Dhakal, and Signe V. Friedrichs, as well as challengers Clark A. Hedrick, Keven J. Leblanc Jr., Stevan M. Porter, Donielle M. Scherff, and Roland B. Taylor will be competing for the six seats on the Herndon Town Council.
The Herndon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a mayoral debate between Olem, Regan and Singh on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 7-8 p.m., at Herndon Council Chambers, 765 Lynn St. in Herndon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the debate will be broadcast live on HCTV.

Brian Tumulty, a retired finance reporter with USA Today, Gannet and Bond Buyer, will be serving as the moderator.
