Another Drunk Herndon Driver Arrested After Hit-And-Run In Loudoun County: Police

It's the second time a Herndon resident has been arrested in Sterling over a 24-hour period on drunk driving charges.

STERLING, VA — For the second time in less than 24 hours, police in Loudoun County have arrested a Herndon resident in connection with a drunk driving and hit-and-run incident.

Police responded to the 45000 block of Bentgrass Terrace in Sterling at around 2:20 a.m. on July 31 to a hit and run, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies later located the vehicle driving on Cascades Parkway and arrested the driver, 26-year-old Jose Bonilla of Herndon, the report states.

Bonilla faces charges of obstruction of justice and public intoxication, and he is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

At around 6 a.m. the previous morning, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office arrested 23-year-old Ahsan Khan of Herndon for allegedly driving drunk and hitting a pedestrian in Sterling with his car. Khan has since been released on a personal recognizance bond.
