Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Herndon Man: Police

HERNDON, VA — Following a three-month investigation, officers from the Herndon Police Department charged Amer Salameh, 28, of Herndon with 10 counts of possessing child pornography, according to the weekly crime report.

The investigation started when HPD's Criminal Investigation Section received a cyber tip in December that a town resident was in possession of child pornography.

Salameh was taken to the Fairfax Adult Detention Center and was later released on a $10,000 bond.

Between March 22 and March 28, Town of Herndon police officers issued 173 traffic summonses, including one for driving while intoxicated, 27 for driving with no operator's license, and two for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were six reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
