DULLES, VA — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Washington Dulles International Airport arrested a Nebraska man Friday who was the subject of a sexual assault of a child arrest warrant, according to a CBP release.

Customs officers arrested Kokou Domkpo, 42, a Togolese national and U.S. lawful permanent resident living in Omaha, Nebraska, as he was about to board a flight to Ethiopia. Dompko was wanted on a warrant from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in Omaha. The warrant charged him with three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, according to the CBP.

CBP officers made the arrest after confirming the warrant was active and verifying Dompko was the subject of the warrant. Dompko was then turned over to Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police, who will initiate extradition proceedings.

“This arrest illustrates how Customs and Border Protection’s unique border security mission supports our law enforcement partners by intercepting dangerous wanted fugitives allegedly fleeing prosecution and helping to return them to face their charges,” said Keith Fleming, acting director of field operations for the Baltimore Field Office, in a release.
