Election Results: Herndon Votes for Mayor, Council

Herndon residents were voting for a mayor and six town council members.

Unofficial election results are available for Herndon's elections Tuesday, according to Fairfax County.

Mayor Lisa Merkel has won a second term.

  • Connie Haines Hutchison: 1,048 votes
  • Lisa C. Merkel: 1,272 votes

There were 11 candidates competing for six Town Council seats.
  • Jennifer K. Baker: 1,247 votes
  • Grace Han Wolf: 1,221 votes
  • Jasbinder Singh: 1,180 votes
  • Sheila A. Olem: 1,176 votes
  • Steven Lee Mitchell: 1,106 votes
  • David A. "Dave" Kirby: 1,091 votes
  • Charlie D. Waddell: 1,056 votes
  • David N. Webster II: 1,023 votes
  • Eric H. Boll: 1,020 votes
  • Jeffrey L. Davidson: 998 votes
  • Richard W. "Rick" Nagel: 977 votes

The results have to be certified by the Fairfax County Electoral Board. Winners will assume office on July 1.
