Family Friendly Easter Events and Activities in Herndon

There are many local Easter events happening for families to enjoy.

Floris United Methodist Annual
Family Easter Festival

13600 Frying Pan Road
March 23 from 3-5 p.m. 

From 3-5 p.m. Saturday families can celebrate Easter at Floris United Methodist Church's annual festival. An egg hunt, separated into K-1 and 3-5 grade groups, will begin shortly after 3 p.m. Activities include caricatures, family discovery stations, crafts, face painting, balloon sculpting, inflatables and more. The event is free.

Jimmy's 16th Annual Easter Party for Kids
697 Spring Street
March 23 from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Jimmy's annual Easter Party will feature the choice of a children's meal, arts and crafts activities, TeGee's dance party, and Bugsey the Bunny with her animal and magic show. Cost is $12.95 per child and space is limited, reservations are suggested. Children must bring a grownup.

Town of Herndon Aqua Egg Hunt
814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon Community Center
March 23 from 1:30-4 p.m. 

The annual Town of Herndon Aqua Egg Hunt is this Saturday at the Herndon Community Center pool. Children collect as many floating and sinking eggs as possible in the time allowed and everyone receives a prize. Special prizes will be awarded to those who collect the most eggs in each group. After the hunt is over participants can stay for open swim. 

Each group is limited to 30 children so preregistration is recommended. Children under 6 must be accompanied by a parent in the water, and swimwear is required. Arrive early to sign in and receive a mesh bag for eggs. Registration is $10 and includes a parent. The age 6 and under egg hunt is from 1:30-2 p.m.; ages 7-8 are from 2:30-3 p.m.; age 9-10 is from 3:10-3:30 p.m.; ange age 11-12 is at 3:30 p.m. Contact Herndon Parks and Rec at 703-787-7300.

Town of Herndon Easter Egg Hunt
777 Lynn Street, Herndon Town Green
March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to noon

The Town of Herndon's annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held rain or shine from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. Children can bring a basket to collect eggs and other goodies at the old fashioned Easter celebration and the Easter Bunny will be on hand too. Other activities include hands-on art projects and a baby animal petting zoo.

Registration is from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and is $7 per participant in advance or $9 the day of. Egg hunts are separated into age groups: ages 5-7 egg hunt at 9:30 a.m.; ages 3-4 egg hunt at 10:15 a.m.; and ages walking to 2 egg hunt at 11 a.m. Contact Herndon Parks and Rec at 703-787-7300.

Southview Community Church Easter Egg Hunt and Lunch

March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon 

Southview Community Church will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt and lunch at the church on Saturday, March 30. After lunch there will be crafts, hounce houses, a carousel, rock wall and other games and activities.
