Felony Robbery Charge Levied Against Herndon Man: Police

HERNDON, VA — A Herndon man was arrested on Sept. 1 in connection with a recent assault and robbery in town, according to the weekly crime report.

On Aug. 24, the victim told police that he had been assaulted and his wallet had been taken in the 1200 block of Springtide Place by someone he knew.

The Herndon Police Department charged Marbin Daniel Herrera Rodriguez, 19, of Herndon with felony robbery. He was then transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Between Aug. 30-Sept. 5, Town of Herndon police officers issued 71 traffic summonses, including five for driving while intoxicated, six for driving with no operator's license, three for driving on a suspended or revoked license and four for operating a vehicle while holding a phone.

There were 12 reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
