Floris Students Jog for Japan

Floris Elementary School students raised money and awareness for Japan after a devastating earthquake.

On Thursday and Friday the students took part in an event they created called Jog for Japan. They ran laps around the track at the school after spending a week raising money. They raised more than $3,200 which will go to the American Red Cross. On Wednesday and Thursday students stayed after school to learn how to make origami cranes, which may be sent to Japan as well wishes.
