Members of Assistance League of Northern Virginia eagerly anticipate the next collaboration with their friends at Franklin Farm, which will occur on Saturday, October 9. The charity will again hold a combined paper-shred and food-donation event in the Dairy Lou parking lot, at 13501 Franklin Farm Road, in Herndon. Assistance League looks forward to helping its many supporters dispose of their important documents in October. The event starts at 10 am and will continue through 1 pm, or until the truck is full. The nonprofit requests you bring only paper items for shredding. No cardboard, plastic, aluminum, wood, or metal items.

A minimum donation of $10 is suggested, and it can be cash, check, or credit card. Your donation will help ensure that Assistance League can continue its philanthropic programs that have served elementary school students and their families throughout the area for more than 17 years.

In addition, the Franklin Farm Social Committee will again collect donations of non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Community of Faith Food Pantry. So please bring canned goods and other food items along with your documents to shred. Your participation in this event will benefit two important programs that provide essential help to many families in the community.
