Herndon Man Arrested After Barricading Family Member In Home

HERNDON, VA — Fairfax County Police arrested a Herndon-area man Saturday night after he threatened to harm a family member and prevented them from leaving their home by barricading the doors, according to an FCPD spokesman.

Officers from the Reston District Station responded around 6:08 p.m., to a home in the 1500 block of Coat Ridge Road in the Herndon area of the county. Members of th Special Operations Division and Public Safety Dispatchers negotiated with the man and were able to resolve in situation peacefully.

FCPD arrested Michael Von Husen, 38, of Herndon and charged him with abduction. One person was treated for minor injuries.
