Herndon To Resume In-Person Council Meetings, Public Hearings
The Herndon Town Council will resume in-person meetings at its work session on July 6 and its public hearing on July 13, the town said.
HERNDON, VA — The Herndon Town Council will resume in-person meetings at its work session on July 6 and its public hearing on July 13, the town government said Monday.
The July 6 work session will be held at the Herndon Community Center at 814 Ferndale Avenue in the multi-purpose room adjacent to the lobby. The July 13 public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers at 765 Lynn Street. Both meetings begin at 7 p.m.
Seating will be spaced six feet apart and masks are requested for unvaccinated attendees.

The public hearing will be streamed live on the town’s website and shown on HCTV (Channel 23/Cox, Channel 28/Verizon FIOS). A link to the livestream will be posted on the town’s Facebook page.
Subsequent public hearings of the Herndon Town Council will be held in the Council Chambers, the town said.

“I am excited to see faces and to recapture the energy that is only found in-person," Herndon Mayor Sheila Olem said in a statement Monday. "I hope citizens will come out and participate as we resume our in-person sessions."
