HERNDON, VA -- The Herndon Town Council is soliciting citizen input on what programs and services to include in the town's FY 2021 Budget, according to a press release. The council is hosing a Feb. 11, public hearing, when citizens can share their input with council members. The public can also provide comment on the town's website.
“As we consider resource allocation for the next fiscal year, we encourage citizens to share with us their views on programs and services that are most important to them,” Mayor Lisa Merkel said in the release.
Town Manager Bill Ashton will deliver a proposed FY 2021 Budget to the council on April 1. Citizens will then be able to provide feedback about the proposed budget at two public hearings at the council's April 12 and 28 meetings. All of the public hearings will begin at 7 p.m., at Mary Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn Street.
