Herndon's 'March Into Parks' Offers Guide To Outdoor Enjoyment
The town of Herndon has organized several "March Into Parks" events this month to get people outside to enjoy the town's parks and trails.
HERNDON, VA — The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department has organized several "March Into Parks" events this month to get people outside to enjoy the town’s many parks and trails.
The town has developed several physically distanced activities to help residents explore Herndon, which has 11 parks and three trails. According to town data, every home in Herndon is no more than a quarter-mile from a town park.
The town is encouraging residents to visit a town park or trail they have not explored. Another challenge is for residents to visit two parks or two playgrounds and one trail in a single day without driving a car.
