Indecent Liberties With Child Charge Filed Against Herndon Man

HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon police arrested two town residents recently, one for taking indecent liberties with a child and the other with malicious wounding, according to the weekly crime report.

Police charged Kevin Paul Anderson, 49, of Herndon, with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child against a victim who was known to him. Anderson was taken the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

On April 2, officers arrested Jose Marcos Flores, 33, of Herndon near the intersection of Summerfield Place and Autumn Drive. They charged him with drunkenness and malicious wounding a victim that was known to him. Flores was also taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond.

Between March 29 and April 4, Town of Herndon police officers issued 127 traffic summonses, including one for driving while intoxicated, five for driving with no operator's license, four for driving on a suspended or revoked license, and eight for operating a vehicle while holding a phone.

There were six reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
