Patton Oswalt Endures 'Cursed Crypt' at Escape Room Herndon

The comedian and actor visited the local attraction to benefit the children of Aleppo in Syria.

HERNDON, VA — As promised, comedian and actor Patton Oswalt stopped by Escape Room Herndon on New Year's Eve to benefit the children of Aleppo in Syria. And thanks to the magic of social media, we know which room he chose at the local attraction: the Cursed Crypt.

Oswalt, who grew up in Sterling, said he'd book a session after Escape Room Herndon announced they would donate all the proceeds from games on Dec. 31st to help the children of Aleppo, a city whose residents continue to endure the brutal war in Syria.

Oswalt showed up as promised, tweeting that afternoon that the "Cursed Crypt" room was "clever with genuine 'jump' scares."
