HERNDON, VA — Northern Virginia's favorite son is pledging to stop by a puzzle room attraction in Herndon on Dec. 31 to show support for victims from the battle for Aleppo in Syria.
Comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted Dec. 19 that he planned to book a session at Escape Room Herndon for the afternoon on New Year's Eve, in response to a tweet earlier that day from the business that it would end 2016 by donating all proceeds from games on Dec. 31st to help the children of Aleppo.
"I'm gonna book a session that afternoon! Good on you, @EscapeHerndon!" Oswalt wrote.

Escape Room Herndon, located at 404 Elden Street, is a puzzle game attraction where visitors are locked into a room and must solve clues as a group to figure out how to get out. Escape Room Herndon charges $28 per player, and is open for public games on Thursday night, Friday night and all day on weekends.
Oswalt will probably be in town anyway on Dec. 31 visiting his family for the holidays. The "Ratatouille" star grew up in nearby Sterling, and even made the town the focus of a tirade for his 2006 standup comedy special.
