Police ID Suspect in Wednesday Morning Robbery
Identification of the other three suspects is pending, say Herndon police.

An 18-year-old has been charged in an armed robbery Wednesday at a Herndon business, but three other suspects remain at large, according to the Herndon police.
The police responded at about 8:45 a.m. to the armed robbery at an unidentified business in the 1100 block of Elden Street, according to a Herndon police report. Four males, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, robbed the business, and police detained and arrested one suspect at the scene.

The suspect was identified Thursday as Jose Ivan Romero-Rivera, 18, with no permanent address. He was charged with robbery, gang participation, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and wearing a mask to conceal his identity. Romero-Rivera is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
No one was injured during the robbery, and the other three suspects fled in various directions on foot. The identification of those suspects is pending further investigation, the Herndon police said in a statement.

The Fairfax County police assisted in the search Wednesday morning for the remaining three suspects, and local schools and a day care center were locked down for about an hour.
