Presidential Inauguration: Herndon Residents Offering Up Homes for Rent
Craigslist and AirBnB ads show homes, rooms for rent in Herndon during presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C.

HERNDON, VA — Herndon residents hoping to cash in on the presidential inauguration are offering up rooms and homes for rent during the big event in Washington, D.C. Donald Trump will be sworn in as the next president of the United States on Friday, Jan. 20.
In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, supporters will be streaming into the D.C. metro area for the inaugural parade, inaugural balls and other parties.
On AirBnB, you'll find Herndon residents offering up all sorts of places to stay for visitors looking for a place to lay their heads at night in between all the hoopla. And boy, are some of them expensive:

- A "luxurious Dulles apartment" with one bedroom is available for $1,499 ... per night. Not to mention a $125 cleaning fee and $278 service fee.
- That's nothing compared to another one-bedroom apartment in Herndon that is charging $2,100 per night.
- Not all of the listings are ridiculous. This one on craigslist is only asking for $160 per night, and it's a three-level home.
