Former Herndon Resident Sentenced In Child Sexual Abuse Case In Federal Court

A former resident of Herndon received a lengthy prison sentence Tuesday after being convicted of producing child sexual abuse material.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Former Herndon resident Vincent Sarikey, 35, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court to 25 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse material, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Sarikey was convicted of enticing a 15-year-old girl to produce sexual material that he then distributed to other offenders via the Telegram messaging application, according to court documents.

He also attempted to entice a 12-year-old girl in Argentina to produce child sexual abuse material in April 2018. When the minor refused and told Sarikey that he would go to jail, he sent two sexually explicit videos to the minor in an effort to convince her to produce similar videos for him.
