St. Louis Man Is Jailed for Assault

Herndon police arrested a St. Louis man Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a female victim during an argument.

Vernon Howard Moore, 29, was charged with abduction and simple assault, and he’s held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Dentention Center, according to a police report.

Moore assaulted the unidentified victim and prevented her from leaving the premises in the 400 block of Elden Street, the report said. The victim sustained a minor injury.

The report did not state whether the premises were a home, a business or another type of location. The victim’s age and place of residence were not released.
