Town of Herndon is Calling You

Citizens' opinion phone survey runs through November.

In an effort to gauge citizen’ viewpoints on its services and programs and to identify areas in which services may be improved, the Town of Herndon has engaged Norfolk, VA-based Continental Research Associates, Inc. to conduct a comprehensive citizens’ opinion survey.

The telephone survey, which begins this month and will conclude in November, asks for citizen opinions on a range of topics including the condition of town streets and parks, satisfaction with special events and amenities, and satisfaction with the level of service provided at town facilities.

Citizens are randomly selected to participate in the survey; Continental Research will be contacting citizens on cell phones and on landlines, and a total of 300 responses will be analyzed. Survey results will be presented to theHerndon Town Council at a work session and will be posted on the town’s website, www.herndon-va.gov.

Continental Research has conducted prior surveys for the town, most recently in 2008. The 2014 results may be benchmarked against prior survey results, giving town officials a long-term perspective on levels of satisfaction with services as well as areas in which improvements are needed.
