Unarmed Man Robs Herndon Business Of Undisclosed Amount Of Cash

HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police Department is investigating the Dec. 17 robbery of a business in the town, according to the weekly crime report.

Police say the around 12:30 p.m., a man entered a business in the 1300 block of Worldgate Drive and demanded money. He did not have a weapon nor did he imply that he had one. The man then left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash, escaping in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Black man, about 25-30, standing about 6-foot tall with a skinny build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray sweater, gray gaiter-style face mask, white knit cap, green cargo pants, tan boots, and a black cinch-style backpack. This case remains under investigation.

Between Dec. 14 and Dec. 20, Town of Herndon police officers issued 179 traffic summonses, including three for driving while intoxicated, 20 for driving with no operator's license, and three for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were 14 reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
