Woman Mugged in Herndon After Someone Called Out to Her: Police

The woman had her wallet stolen as she walking along Parcher Avenue.

HERNDON, VA — Police are on the lookout for a man who they say attacked a woman who was walking on Parcher Avenue in Herndon in the early morning hours recently and then stole her wallet.

Police say that at around 5:25 a.m. Sept. 23 in the 13200 block of Parcher Avenue, a woman was walking when she "heard someone call out to her from behind," according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"When she turned around, a man assaulted her and took her wallet, then fled," the report states.

She did not need medical attention.

The report described the suspect as "black, between 18 and 20 years old, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and 160 pounds. He wore a black hoodie and black pants."
