When the Potomac Nationals face the Carolina Mudcats the game will be a fun-filled celebration of the children and teens who have participated in the Prince William Public Library's Summer Quest and Wild Reads summer reading programs. Summer reading participants are urged to attend by using the free Grandstand admission ticket they earned for their reading. Bryanna Altman, President of the Prince William Library Foundation, and owner of The Computer Doctor, will be the Honorary General Manager for the P-Nats that day. To celebrate summer reading, the Library Foundation is giving away a Kindle Fird HD to one lucky attendee. "We support the Library System in any way we can and we know that encouraging reading is paramount to any child's success," Altman observed. The Potomac Nationals have been enthusiastic sponsors of the very popular Summer Quest and Wild Reads programs. Last year over 16,000 children and teens participated, receiving coupons, prizes and recognition for their efforts. "The Potomac Nationals team has supported the Prince William Public Library System reading programs for years," stated Mary Tompkins, Marketing & Development Officer, for the Library System. "To recognize the achievement of each participant is commendable." The game will be a special one, and in addition to recognizing the importance of summer reading and the Kindle giveaway, the Potomac Nationals are also planning fireworks after the game. Both summer reading programs end August 17, 2013. For more information, visit www.pwcgov.org/libraryfoundation.
