Supervisor Boddye Announces Dumpster Day & Community Cleanup in Occoquan District
Occoquan District's Dumpster Day to be held Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church

Supervisor Kenny Boddye welcomes the community to join him and Prince William County Public Works for Occoquan District’s Dumpster Day on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church (13506 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge VA, 22192). This event brings the landfill to residents, making it convenient to dispose of yard waste, old furniture and other non-hazardous household items, while promoting environmental stewardship and neighborhood pride.
His office is also partnering with Rollingwood Village HOA to host a community cleanup. In addition to bulk disposal, there will be paper shredding, glass and B-thrifty accepting items that are “too good to toss.”
“Just show up with your unwanted items, and the team will take care of the rest, whether it needs to be disposed of, recycled or repurposed,” said Boddye. “Ours is the first district office to partner with a thrift store during our Dumpster Days, keeping several trailer loads of usable goods, like bikes, toys, and tools, out of the landfill over the years.”

Supervisor Boddye encouraged people to join the community cleanup by registering as volunteers at occoq.org/dumpsterday. His office will provide gloves, bags and trash pickers.
“We appreciate everyone working together to keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful,” said Boddye. “If you’d like to organize a cleanup in your neighborhood, visit our website to find tips and resources.”
