Today in Lake Ridge: Needles & Hooks Meeting, Vision Screening Sign Up

Things Lake Ridge residents should know today.

  1. Sunny skies are in the forecast with high temperatures at 68 degrees in the day and a low around 50 in the evening, according to the National Weather Service. 
  2. Crafty folks who enjoy needlework meet for the Needles and Hooks group at 7 p.m. today at the Chinn Park Regional Library at 13065 Chinn Park Drive in Woodbridge.
  3. Prince William County officials are asking residents to take an online survey as part of the county’s Rural Preservation Study. Learn more about it or find out how to take the survey. 
  4. The Lion's Club of Woodbridge will visit the Potomac Community library to provide hearing and vision screening for children elementary school age and younger. Stop by the library to fill out a consent form, or print one out  and return it to the library by 4 p.m. today, September 17. The screening is at 10 a.m. on September 24.
  5. The Prince William County Board of Supervisors recently recognized boy scout Nicholas Guernsey for using his CPR training to save a man who was suffering from a heart attack. Read more about him.
