Week Ahead: Talk Like a Pirate, Park Commission Meets, Trail Clean Up

- The Prince William County Park Commission meets from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hellwig Administration Building on 14420 Bristow Road in Manassas.
- Avast!! Talk Like a Pirate Day is Thursday. Celebrate locally at Chinn Park Regional Library at 4 p.m. in the community room, 13065 Chinn Park Drive.
- The Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition is planning a clean up and trail project in the town of Occoquan on September 21. Volunteers will clean up the riverfront starting at 9 a.m. near the Mill House Museum on 413 Mill Street.
- Get ready for Historic Sunday at the Brentsville Courthouse Historic Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 12229 Bristow Road in Bristow.
