Overall, all nine Russell County schools are fully accredited, and four county schools earned the top Distinguished rating, signaling broad academic progress across the district.
   

• Marion Claims SWD VB Title Defeating Pioneers (thelebanonnews.com) — Lebanon fans saw a thriller at Charles C. Long Gymnasium as the Pioneers pushed Marion to five sets on senior night before falling 3–2, with Marion clinching another Southwest District regular-season volleyball title. Lebanon’s players and coach say they’re proud of the team’s fight and are now focused on securing the SWD tournament No. 2 seed and a possible rematch.
