2017 Loudoun Youth Leadership Program Incorporating Overnight Stay At Salamander Resort, Team Building At Empower Adventures
Two one-‐week-‐long summer leadership programs for high school students teach invaluable leadership skills

Now in its sixth year, Loudoun Youth, Inc.’s 2017 Loudoun Youth Leadership Program has gotten a new look for this year’s summer sessions, thanks to a change of venue from previous years. Both one-week long sessions of Loudoun Youth Leadership Program will stay for an overnight in the renowned Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg and take part in team building and survival activities at nearby Empower Adventures. Loudoun Youth Leadership Program sessions will take place July 10-14, 2017 and July 31 - August 4, 2017.
Loudoun Youth Leadership Program is a week-long leadership program designed to introduce youth to leadership concepts and to provide exposure and interaction with local business, government and community leaders. The participants consist of high school students who live in Loudoun County. Each class is limited to 26 youth per week to encourage team building and provide a genuine experience in a small group setting. A large number of students applied for this year’s program, and the selection was narrowed down to 52 (26 per session) deserving students.
"We’ve got a very impressive group of students this year and to top it off we are thrilled to be partnering with Empower Adventures for the first time,” said Steve Wolfson, Executive Director of Loudoun Youth, Inc. “Students will participate in exciting challenges specifically designed with corporate team building and youth leadership development in mind, that strengthens relationships, improves trust and challenges individuals to step outside of their comfort zones. And to round out our first day in each session, we are looking forward to overnight accommodations at the beautiful Salamander Resort & Spa.”
