1. Severe Threat - This afternoon we have a threat for scattered showers and storms and some could contain gusty winds. The Severe Storms Prediction Center has outlined the area for a Slight Risk of Severe weather today. Be Weather alert today.
2. It is HOT: The heat will be noticeable again with highs in the lower 90s and high humidity. As noted yesterday, be careful. Here is a link to 7 Heat Safety Tips
3. Improving Weather Weekend: After today's heat and storms, the temperatures and humidity levels will improve Saturday and be especially noticeable Sunday! Highs tomorrow could still be near 90, but we will see mid-80s Sunday,
4. Heating Up: We will see slowly warming temperatures next week from the mid-80s Monday, to near 90 again by Wednesday. There are some signs that Next Thursday could be the hottest day of summer so far. A chance of showers and storms enters the picture again by Thursday as well.
5. Next Weekend: Humidity may again be knocked down some by then, but the heat seems to want to stick around or be close so we may still see temps above normal.
