Ashburn Ice House to Host Red’s BBQ Relief Again Saturday

Ashburn Ice House is thrilled to host Red’s BBQ Relief again this Saturday, April 18 from 1 – 4 p.m. at 21595 Smith Switch Road in Ashburn. This will be the fifth week that Red’s BBQ Relief is providing FREE meals to first responders and anyone in need. Hungry customers are also invited and, if they have the means to "pay-it-forward," donations will be accepted in exchange for the BBQ.

This week’s menu is Texas style brisket, Carolina pulled pork, Carolina slaw, and dill potato salad. BBQ will be served with a Hawaiian slider, sauces and water or juice. Each week a local business or two sponsor the event in partnership with Red’s BBQ & Pizzeria. Saturday’s event is sponsored by Cory Weaver - HealthMarkets Insurance and Making Everything.

“If you are in need of a hot, fresh, most lip smackin' BBQ meal in Northern VA because of these uncertain times, then Red's is here to lift you up,” said Red Banks, Owner of Red’s BBQ & Pizzeria.

Servers will be wearing the proper PPE and Red's t-shirts. The parking lot will be set up for vehicles to drive through, all customers must remain in their vehicles. Social distancing will be enforced.

“Red’s support of our community is amazing. We are thankful we could partner to support Red and our community. Over 450 meals were served last Saturday, hoping we can exceed that number this week,” said Rob Lorenzen, General Manager, Ashburn Ice House.
