Bluemont Summer Concert with Pan Masters

Pan Masters Concert August 2

The Bluemont Concert Series is proud to present Pan Masters on Sunday, August 2nd at 7:00 PM for the sixth of six Sunday evening concerts held at Old Loudoun Courthouse, located at 18 East Market St. in historic, downtown Leesburg.

All are welcome at these family-oriented events and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and a picnic to enjoy before the show. There is a requested donation of $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends and seniors, and $2 for kids twelve and under. Proceeds go to support Bluemont’s year-round Artist-In-Education program in area schools. All Leesburg concerts begin at 7:00 PM. As at all Bluemont concerts, no pets, alcohol or smoking are allowed. In bad weather, the concerts will be held indoors at the Leesburg United Methodist Church Asbury Hall, located at 107 West Market Street.

The popular Pan Masters Steel Orchestra thrills audiences with exotic island instruments, great music and dancing on the green. Their eclectic repertoire ranges from traditional island calypso, reggae and soca to the band’s interpretations of Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, J.S. Bach and more.

Originally from the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago, the Pan Masters are perennial winners of Baltimore, Washington and New York City steel band competitions, including outstanding performance awards at the DC Caribbean Carnival for ten years running.

The Pan Masters have performed for Bluemont since 1982, and many of the current band members are children of the original Pan Masters. A Bluemont audience favorite, this fantastic performance is not to be missed.
