The Breaking Winds and Loudoun Symphonic Winds

The mission of the Loudoun Community Band, Inc. is to bring satisfying musical experiences to its members and audiences. To that end, we bring you The Breaking Winds. The Breaking Winds may be history’s most ambitious cover band. Wielding four bassoons (with help from some kazoos, a melodica, and whatever else they could find) these four awesome ladies aim to explore the creative frontier and share smiles along the way. The repertoire of the Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet entirely consists of transcriptions, arrangements, and compositions by the four members of the group. “Each concert provides a window into our world—what we’ve been listening to and how we want to twist it.”

The Loudoun Symphonic Winds is a community-based concert band that has become one of the area's most exciting musical ensembles since its formation in 1993. LSW includes both professional and dedicated amateur musicians. Our goal is to give the Loudoun community and its neighbors an opportunity to play and hear the best of yesterday's and today's concert band music.
