Burk Wins Leesburg Mayor's Race As Council Gets 3 New Faces
The three open Leesburg Town Council seats were won by Zachary Cummings, Ara Bagdasarian and Kari Nacy, according to unofficial results.

LEESBURG, VA — Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk won re-election, defeating current Leesburg Town Councilman R. E. "Ron" Campbell, according to unofficial results.
Burk received 16,537 votes, or 71.88 percent, while Campbell received 6,174 votes, or 26.84 percent.
The three open Leesburg Town Council seats were won by Zachary Cummings with 14,144 votes, Ara Bagdasarian with 12,100 votes and Kari Nacy with 10,938 votes, according to unofficial results. Bill Replogle fell just short with 10,571 votes.

Mailed ballots can still be accepted through noon Friday. Election results are not expected to be finalized until early next week.
Campbell's current tenure on the town council will end Dec. 31. His seat, along with Councilman Thomas Dunn, who withdrew from running for re-election in August, and the empty seat that former Councilman Josh Thiel left earlier this year, will be filled by the three winners.

Burk, who received the endorsement of the Loudoun County Democratic Committee, won a third mayoral term. She served as a member of the town council since 2012 and served on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors for four years prior to election to office in Leesburg. She also worked as a public school teacher for 34 years.
Like Burk, both Cummings and Bagdasarian, as well as Replogle, were endorsed by the Loudoun County Democratic Committee.
The Loudoun County Republican Committee did not endorse any Leesburg Town Council candidates in 2020. Nacy was backed by the LCRC when she ran for town council in 2018.
