Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony to Kick Off First Friday

Join the Town of Leesburg as it kicks off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting, Christmas carols and First Friday events.

The Town of Leesburg invites locals and visitors to enjoy "the most wonderful time of the year" and experience a little holiday magic in historic downtown Leesburg.

On Friday, Dec. 2 beginning at 6 p.m. friends and neighbors are invited to celebrate the start of the holiday season in Leesburg at the annual Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting on the Town Green, at 25 West Market Street.

The festive ceremony will feature performances from Loudoun County High School’s Chamber Choir, the renowned Loudoun Chorale and holiday messages from Mayor Kristen Umstattd and other members of the Leesburg Town Council. The crowd will be invited to join in a holiday sing-a-long before the mayor “throws the switch” to light the holiday tree.
