The Message - “Unstoppable: The Power of Unity,” Pastor Jeff Jacob; Word of Life International Church, Ashburn.
A summary of Pastor Jeff‘s message is as follows:
In Genesis chapter 11 we see the tower of Babel being constructed and it says that God looked down at the people who were speaking one language and had one purpose and said, “Look! The people are united, and they all speak one language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”
In this passage, we see God Himself saying that when people are speaking the same language and walking in unity, that nothing is impossible for them. As the body of Christ, when we are truly walking in unity, it is powerful and the potential is limitless. When homes, marriages, businesses, churches, or cities are truly united, nothing will be impossible for them.
Psalm 133 tells us that when God’s people dwell together in unity, it is like the anointing oil on Aaron’s head, the dew on Mount Hermon, and there, the Lord commands His blessing, life forevermore.
Anointing comes on one person for one purpose, the glory of God comes on a region like dew falls on a region. Unity brings the glory of God to whole regions at a time. It also causes the Lord to command His blessing of Life. The Hebrew word for life is the word chayee, which comes from the word chayah which means, “to give life, to revive, to make alive, to nourish up, to recover, to restore, to repair and to be made whole.”
When God’s people walk together in unity, we will see “life, revival, nourishment, recovery, restoration, repairs and people being made whole”. Unity truly brings the blessing of God.
We need to first be unified with God, then with others. Unity is powerful and nothing can stop it when it comes!
Alter Call
Remarks/Benediction 9:15 PM
Note: Intercessory prayer is essential to revival, but so is altar time. The prayers will prepare the ground for God to move. The altar is where God will do the moving. These two cornerstones will be the framework that God will use to accomplish His work. God desires to make this movement spread throughout communities with churches working in harmony to receive His outpouring.
Continue to pray for Souls to be saved, healing and deliverance to take place, bridges to be built, Kingdom Relationships to be forged, Loudoun County to be united and God’s Kingdom to be advanced.
127 adults and 34 children attended the first night of revival.
Thursday August 13, 2015, Pastor Salvador Henriquez; Iglesia Del Avivamiento, Leesburg shall provide the message.
“Now to God who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to God be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
