Community Farewell for Retiring John Wells on Friday

On Friday, October 3, 2014, the Town of Leesburg will host an informal Community Farewell for John Wells, Leesburg’s Town Manager, in the Town Hall Rose Garden, beginning at 5:30pm.

John Wells has been the Town Manager of Leesburg since October 2004. He is retiring, after 10 years of service with the Town of Leesburg and 21 years with Loudoun County prior to joining the Town. Friday, October 3, 2014, will be his last day with the Town. He and his wife, Debbie, will be relocating to the Erie, Pennsylvania, area later this year.

Members of the public are invited to attend the Community Farewall to say good-bye to John. Beginning at 6:00pm, there will be a short program of reflections and toasts to John. Light refreshments will be served.

In the event of rain, the event will be held in the lower level of Town Hall.
