Controversial name change to schools ongoing
School board has announced an online survey for the community to weigh in

The Loudoun County Public School Board is providing an opportunity for the general public to comment on their plan to change the name of our schools through an online survey. Their announcement is here. Deadline to provide feedback is Monday, Dec 16th.
The link to the survey is here. Community members, parents/guardians, students, and staff can all take the survey. It doesn't take long to complete.
Renaming a school costs up to $140K per school. There was no request by any student, parent, teacher or staff to change names. No discussion has taken place on whether the funds could be better spent on facility improvement, safety, accessibility, or academic achievement and progress. This is strictly our school board imposing their political agenda on us as residents of Loudoun County.

Please take the time to fill out the survey. Have both parents and every child fill out the survey. Send it to friends and neighbors and ask them to fill it out. We must be loud and clear that this nonsense must stop. We want our tax dollars spent on academic excellence, facility improvement, and safety. Not name changes.
