County To Break Ground Thursday for Western Loudoun Sheriff Station
New building in Round Hill is scheduled to open in spring of 2016.

The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking for the Western Loudoun Sheriff Station at 9 a.m., Thursday at the project site at 47 West Loudoun St. in Round Hill.
Members of the Board of Supervisors, including Chairman Scott York and Blue Ridge District Supervisor Janet Clarke, Sheriff Mike Chapman, members of the Sheriff’s command staff and other Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) personnel are scheduled to attend.
Parking at the groundbreaking site is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged. Immediately following the event, the LCSO will host a commemorative celebration with light refreshments at 803 Sycolin Road S.E., Leesburg.

The planned Western Loudoun Sheriff Station is an 8,700-square-foot building that will include secure facilities for operations and administrative offices, as well as a community meeting room.
Lantz Construction of Winchester was awarded the contract for construction in November. The facility is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016. The LCSO’s other stations are the Eastern Loudoun Station in Sterling, Dulles South Station in Chantilly, and University Station in Ashburn.
